What is Legendary Excalibur?

The case, which dates back to November 2021, was filed by Evolution against Black Cube, after the intelligence firm was found to have been secretly investigating Evolution’s activities from December 2020.

Playtech commissioned Black Cube’s investigation, which Evolution has described as a “smear campaign” involving secretly recorded interviews with staff members.

The dossier accused Evolution of supplying games into banned and sanctioned markets, including territories under US sanctions such as Iran and Syria.

The companies delivered a presentation that detailed their plans to create a “global gaming champion”.

Lottomatica generated revenue of €2.26 billion in its FY2025, while Cirsa’s FY2025 group revenue reached €2.34 billion.

The combined company would overtake the likes of Bally’s Intralot, Entain and Allwyn to become the second-largest listed global operator, behind only Flutter Entertainment in terms of combined adjusted EBITDA.

Rodano’s appointment reflects Allwyn’s commitment to enhancing responsible gaming as an integral part of its growth strategy, the company said in a statement announcing the move.

The company’s existing businesses have achieved Level 4 accreditation under the World Lottery Association’s responsible gaming framework – the highest possible level.

Robert Chvátal, Allwyn’s chief executive officer, said appointment aligned with the group’s long-term vision to embed integrity and player safety across its products and markets.
